BACKGROUND
I’m Shekera Joseph, the founder of SheJo Consultancy, bringing over a decade of professional expertise to help businesses thrive. With a Master’s degree in Biology and extensive experience in education, marine resources, fisheries management, and a plethora of certifications ranging from Seafood HACCP and Sanitation Control procedures, IFSQN, ServSafe Food Protection Manager, and many more certifications, helps SheJo Consultancy to forge ahead, lighting the path towards a remarkable future in the seafood retail, RTE, and export industry along with assistance with other food products.
CAREER BEGINNINGS
My career began with a passion for education, teaching at junior high and senior high levels and then lecturing at a local tertiary institution. I developed a passion for proper communication to convey knowledge and teach skills to all trainees. This foundation paved the way for my role as the supervisor of the Seafood Export and Inspection Unit at the Department of Marine Resources. In this capacity, I ensured that our seafood exports met the highest standards of quality and compliance, promoting sustainable practices and protecting our valuable marine resources.
