BASIC SEAFOOD HACCP CERTIFICATION COURSE


COURSE DESCRIPTION & PURPOSE:

The Basic Seafood HACCP Certification Course offered through AFDO (Association of Food and Drug Officials) is an FDA-recognized training designed to help seafood industry professionals meet the requirements of the FDA’s Seafood HACCP Regulation (21 CFR Part 123).

This course is designed to provide individuals involved in seafood processing, importing, or distributing with the knowledge and skills to develop and implement a HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) plan in compliance with FDA regulations.

COURSE EXPECTATIONS:

Days 1–2:

  • In-depth walkthrough of the Seafood HACCP Alliance training manual
  • Foundational principles of HACCP
  • Seafood-specific hazards (biological, chemical, physical)
  • Sanitation and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Days 3–4:

  • Hands-on training in applying HACCP principles
  • Development of hazard analyses and customized HACCP plans

COURSE COMPLETION & CERTIFICATE:
